@MadeFitTV true if … @MadeFitTV true if you put it like that,
most people who eat 6 meals a day are working out and really into sports
other just eat regular 3 meals a day, so if they’re gonna think that they can simply replace one of those meals with a protein shake. that would be bad, cause you need some fat and carbs,n vitamines etc…
still thanks for the answer
and sorry for my english, i’m Dutch
@Robinpeys I would … @Robinpeys I would say you are right and I am right. It all depends on the individual. It is not “bad” to replace a meal/snack with a protein shake because we should be eating 6 small meals (relatively) per day. If a protein supplement happens to be one of them, that is fine – it all depends on WHAT else you are eating through your day and HOW, so that is why I never pigeon-hole one way of eating for everyone because everyone requires different things. Thanks for the post!
@MadeFitTV Lol … @MadeFitTV Lol shouln’t Protein be a muscle recoverer instaid of a food replacement?
when you workout your muscles are gonna need more protein so thats when the shakes come in handy, it helps your muscles to recover quicker from weight sessions etc, but NEVER take protein shakes as a meal replacement, it’s not good…
@vikyd If you are … @vikyd If you are eating enough protein from meats and natural sources, you don’t need to take supplements because you should be getting enough already. But you can start any time for a quick meal replacement, but don’t replace more than two meals a day with a shake because you want to be eating as naturally as possible : )
@xlik19 I talk … @xlik19 I talk about glutamine in episode 90. As for tribulus, I don’t know too much about it only that it can be used to boost testosterone. Supplements are hit or miss based on the individual. I pretty much say that in Ep 90. But if you feel it helps you and you are aware of any potential side effects and are responsible with it, go for it : )
Great video. Helped … Great video. Helped me a lot.
I do have one query though. I just started weight training, so how long should i wait before i should start taking protein supplements ??
@SickSideSmile You … @SickSideSmile You can check out Episode 90 for the creatine info, B12 and Ribose are great for energy. Just use your best judgment when taking supplements that do not have conclusive evidence proving their claims : )
I have protein … I have protein supplements and im 5′11 150lbs (i measured 14% body fat in winter 2009). I exercise everyday (although not the same intensity every day)

Protein shakes are to supplement protein into your diet. Shakes are convenient, cheap (in terms of $/gram), and is extremely lean (as in little fat/serving). If you calculate the protein from the shake into your diet, you shouldn’t have a problem w. excess calories.
Weight gainer supplements are the ones that are high in calories, but those are something entirely different.
@BridesMadeFit Hey, … @BridesMadeFit Hey, that’s great! And that’s soon! I really like figure! I hope you do well! It is very competitive. A friend of mine, and some other pro’s I know competed today in the IFBB Australian Grand Prix , but he didn’t place in the top. I don’t have to compete until July. I almost did a show Mar. 27, too The Western USA. I got 2nd last year. Waiting until July though.
I compete in Figure … I compete in Figure. My next show is March 27 in Detroit and it’s a national qualifier. I hope to do well and take it to the next level! I’m so anxious, LOL!
