Alli give you the poops. some people have been incontinent with the alli.

try exercise, 8-10 glasses water a day, no sodas or junk food, no artificial sweetener, eat lots of fruits and veggies, chicken and fish. walk 30 minutes or more everyday and do some weight bearing exercises. and don't forget to stretch before exercising.

these lifestyle changes should help you lose the weight you want and keep it off.
References :
You're safer by taking Alli, actually. Just because Hoodia is natural doesn't mean it's safe (opiates are natural too). Alli is regulated and approved by the FDA, which means its ingredients are supposed to be quality controlled (not contaminated).

Hoodia is kind of like Ephedra...The FDA suspects it will cause heart problems, but they can't prove it so it's still on the market. The truth is anything that makes you want to eat less and/or burn an unnatural amount of calories is unhealthy (even if the FDA gives it a green light). And for the record, losing anymore than 2-3 pounds per week will confuse your body and will actually make it retain MORE calories than normal because it thinks it's being starved.

Alli is probably better, on it's own, in the long run. But only because what goes into it is monitored. Honestly though, the only thing that will be effective long-term is the old school way. Healthy diet, and a fair amount of exercise (as little as 30 minutes of walking three days per week).

Worry about speeding up your metabolism, not losing weight...THAT'S when you see results.
